I bet you put beans in your chili.

That's how it is usually served to me where I live (northern IL). (I haven't made my own in a long time.) The Texan way is certainly better.

And chili is a good enough food that they have chili cook-offs here every year. Unfortunately, northerners doing chili is like Californians doing pizza. They think that by doing weird and unimaginable things to it, that they are somehow making it better. But, like pizza, even bad chili can be pretty good.

Good description - I agree - california pizza is something obammy would order- arugula on pizza just sounds like it should be outlawed.
