We are finally getting a nice soaking rain here. It should be raining most of the weekend. That may save a number of trees here. I heard that there are places that have little moisture as far as 20’ down.

One community - Horseshoe Bay - is going to cut down every cedar tree that is less than 6” diameter since they drink so much water. I wish they would cut every cedar tree from IH 10 to the Tex / Mex border.

We have an overcast sky this a.m., hopefully it will bring the rain promised by the forecasters. We sure do need it.

Just put in three honey locust. No moisture three feet deep. Not only are the prairie grasses dead, the ground is starting to look bare.
If we don’t get rain...haven’t had a good rain since a year ago October, there will be nothing for the cattle to eat in the spring. Ranchers on dry land are selling their underweight cattle.
I’m praying that our little, local church will be done with silly time church and get down to some serious praying.
We need the rain. We need a new Awakening in our land more.

Rain forecast for San Antonio has shifted and moved since I started watching at 2 o'clock this morning. All the good stuff is to the west of us, from Corpus Christi almost to Dallas.

Only now are we getting teasing, drizzle, misting, fringe stuff.
