Hitler saw Marxism as Jewish and internationalist. A key component to both Fascism and National Socialism is the “Nationalism” part. Both Fascists and Nazis thought that German and Italian upper classes had more in common [their blood and heritage] with German and Italian workers than the latter did with the working classes of other nations. In sum, blood trumped class.

I was thinking more about this last night and it struck me that generally they opposed each other due to the fact that each one of them wanted the power. Which, fits with your feedback, so that is appreciated.

I agree that the NAZI’s were centered on nationalism and that was his excuse for national expansion. In reality I think that he feared that the communists would take his power. It wasn’t an opposition to the communist ideals....
