Hitler saw Marxism as Jewish and internationalist. A key component to both Fascism and National Socialism is the “Nationalism” part. Both Fascists and Nazis thought that German and Italian upper classes had more in common [their blood and heritage] with German and Italian workers than the latter did with the working classes of other nations. In sum, blood trumped class.

I agree that the NAZI’s were centered on nationalism and that was his excuse for national expansion. In reality I think that he feared that the communists would take his power. It wasn’t an opposition to the communist ideals....
