He was also convicted of money laundering, tax evasion and racketeering related to Petrol Dragon, as well as convicted of fraud and tax evasion on the totally unrelated "gold shipment" scam.

That sounds like Rossi's spin. Do you know how much oil Rossi produced with his 'process'? Exactly, nothing. There were people claiming he was supplying over ten tons of fuel oil a day when all he was doing was collecting tons of waste which the Italian gov had to deal with at an extremely high price.
