Ann Hathaway is an idiot with rather limited acting abilities but has nice looks that have gotten her along. She is a total left winger but likely does not know why except that it is the thing for Hollywood actors to do.
As to this marriage, like the vast majority of Hollywood marriages, it will not last.

Hathaway went to Vassar as a drama major, the drama dept there also graduated Merel Streep,
The Vassar drama dept has been run by out and out Marxist Socialists since the 1930’s, without break.
