A wild turkey smashed through a plate glass window at an empty western Pennsylvania restaurant and ended up where millions of its fellow gobblers did on Thanksgiving: a dining room.

Penn Hills police Officer Bernard Sestili tells the WTAE-TV the feathered fowl didn’t survive impact when it barreled into the dining room of the Eat’n Park in Penn Hills on Thursday afternoon. The restaurant was closed at the time.

Sestili says he responded when the building’s alarm went off.

Penn Hills is not far from my house. Here in Washington County,PA there are turkeys everywhere. My mailbox is across the street and sometimes about 15 turkeys are walking around and come to about 8 feet from me. They don't seem to even notice me.

Are they territorial? It could have attacked that intruder turkey in the restaurant window!

Man,we have a lot of these things. Outside of Pittsburgh is a turkey hunters dream,if they were allowed to hunt them.
The lumberyard where I work have about 13 of the damn things running around. And they can fly. One flew over my head and it was a like a Cessna with feathers.
It is funny to see them perch in trees.
