I actually agree with Newt’s comments and here’s why. It is zero tolerance enforcement of rules that gets the boy scout suspended from school for forgetting to take his pocket knife out of his pocket. What Newt said was if he has a family is paying taxes and is part of a local church we’ll look at keeping him here. That could mean at least giving him the opportunity to become a citizen. If he refuses then I’m all for sending him back to his home country. I think a common sense approach to this would be beneficial. Immediately get rid of the law breakers and those who are here for a free ride and give the ones who’s only crime is not having filed paperwork a chance to do so.
NO to citizenship for ANYONE that came here or is now in this country ILLEGALLY! Not now, not ever. There is a long continuous line of people from all over the world who are trying to become citizens of this country the legal way. NO reward for those that chose not to follow our laws.
