We deserve it don't we? /s
No, it is not as simplistic as you would like to paint it. Legislators can write law in such a way that states have the right to review each illegal who comes in contact with the law. If someone comes in contact witht he law because they are caught in criminal activity, immediate deportation is a clearly resonable approach, but the level of crime would be weighed for prosecution. If a leo stops a car with a tail light out and upon license check the person is an illegal here for a decade, working and supporting his family as the only bread winner int he household, what do you get by instantly deporting this individual. And jsut to clarify the hypothetical, the mother is a leagl citizen here yet the bread winner is not. What do we create for our society by instantly deporting the bread winner? ... The problem is more complex than folks would like to realize. It is so much easier to fall for the DNC trap and just demand absolute application of the laws without regard to the human cost or the fulfilling of the DNC specious talking points.
