Market forces. If you don’t like flying in the cheap seats, I have an idea: DON’T! Pay more and get better seating.

I do pay for better seating. I just flew back from Europe last month in 'economy plus' class which is what seat size the old 'economy' used to be before the airlines decided that child car seats were the model for the new standard 'economy' seat.
While you were getting snappy with me, they just added another row and shrunk the seats even more.
