***Hence the Marxist slogan “from each according to his ability, to each according to his need.”
Once this was done, Marx predicted that a sea change would occur in human nature. Greed for more wealth would virtually disappear, since no one could get any more than anyone else. Altruism or a desire to help others and contribute maximally and selflessly to the benefit of the whole would dominate human activity. Everyone’s needs would be taken care of without worry. A Communist utopia would be achieved***
Would have worked well - if humans were chickens. Unfortunately, Marx had no understanding of human nature and the desire to be ‘king of the hill’. The natural sorting out always results in ‘the top, the middle and the bottom’ of the heap. Corruption transfers wealth to the top. Industry & private property from effort maintains a healthy balance.
Humans do not belong to other humans - they belong to GOD.
Great thoughts there. Do you mind if I share your comment at the posting area this article came from? Thanks.

Oh yeah. That’s exactly how it is in China, Russia, and North Korea.
My 8th grade daughter had to do some ‘game” in history class yesterday - ended up having to distribute the pennies they found equally. As she was describing it my older son and wife were getting all mad and wanted to say something - but I told them let her finish the story. (I wanted to see if she had figured out where the Commie teacher was going with it).
“So we as a group had to figure out what to do with the 100 pennies. Some of us had 6 to 9 pennies, and some had 1 or 2, or none. And the pennies was the wealth in the world, and showed how some people have way more money than others. So most of the group wanted to split them up evenly and divide them up - if you had more than five pennies you had to give one to someone that had less than five. I said that wasn’t fair, because why if someone works harder than someone else should they have to give their money away? It wouldn’t be fair to a doctor with lots of school and has to work hard to make the same amount of money as some guy working at the 7&11”
My wife was finally able to blurt out with tears in her eyes how proud she was of her - and me too!
Once she had finished with her argument a few other kids agreed with her - but not enough to overule the group think. And I told her that too - at school they are trying to put down the independent thinker. You need to be able to work with others in school and in work - but you don’t need to give up your individual self.
I told her to ask the teacher if they can play that “game” again tomorrow and the next day. Except this time she and her few similar minded friends don’t do the “work” of looking for the pennies - just sit and chat quietly or read or something. And then see what happens again the next day and the next.
I also told her how it is a common, and mistaken view by liberals that there is only a set amount of wealth (just 100 pennies) in the world. Wealth is developed and increased.
I also mentioned how to a liberal the way to increase “wealth” is to just print more money!
You don’t know chickens—obviously.
The VERY FIRST THING they do is establish their “pecking order”.
Until that’s done—it’s PANDEMONIUM in the henhouse.
Kinda like the good ‘ol U,S, of A.
Sounds like the economic system introduced in Star Trek.
