So you are suggesting that we intentionally insult people because we are shying away from confrontation.

In my world if you start a discussion by insulting someone, it ends up in an unnecessary fight.

I appreciate your stance on this, but I think you are fighting the wrong fight here.

I am not saying we should call Christmas Trees, Holiday trees. We are together on that.

I AM suggesting that calling Michelle Obama “Uppity” simply plays into the left’s presentation of us as racist. There are so many better words to use.

Rush is no idiot. He knew what he was saying, he knew it would incite the left, and he knew it would be suggested he was being racist.

I'm saying use words in their proper context, and if some ignoramus gets offended, so be it...bring it on. Same goes for the Confederate battle flag, the term "illegal aliens", being critical of hip-hop, etc. If you're right, then dadgummit, stand by what you know is right!

Picking one's battles is a convenient way to never fight for anything. To paraphrase Kevin Costner in "Open Range", there are things that gnaw on a man worse than a bloody nose. Knuckling under to PC thuggery is one of them...at least it is for me.
