Honestly, if a candidate goes through what Cain just went through for a sustained month or so — including the fact that a lot of the criticism of him was based on his lack of political experience and knowledge — and he emerges still in the top tier, to me, that’s a political miracle in any other contest.
Seems to me what’s driving this race fundamentally is the question of which candidate actually is the anti-Obama/Romney candidate that can win.
