I’m Bijan Aboutorabi, one of the co-founders of Undergraduates for a Better Yale College (UBYC), the undergraduate group discussed in this article. I’m very pleased to see this story attracting so much attention; however, the article here is rife with inaccuracies. UBYC has no organizational tie to Let’s Strengthen Marriage. More seriously, the “quotes” from our “press release” do not come from anyone in UBYC, nor did we issue a press release on the subject. For more accurate information about who we are and what is going on with Sex Week, I recommend our website (www.betteryale.org) and that of the Yale Daily News (www.yaledailynews.com).
And we should believe you - why?
How about a viable link, sources, quotes, etc.
And please tell us about your name. Bijan means “seed”. The rest of the name?
Bijan, I just did a search on your name and it looks as though you are who you say you are. I just found this article:
http://www.yaledailynews.com/news/2011/sep/20/aboutorabi-andino-and-marin-change-the-climate/
ABOUTORABI, ANDINO AND MARIN: Change the climate, end Sex Week
Looks very interesting. I could not find the article referenced at the top of this thread, either. So, any input you would like to make to clear up inaccuracies would be welcome. Apologies for the unwelcoming comment I made to you above, Free Republic attracts “all kinds” and they aren’t always conservative or honest.
