“I’m relatively lenient when the older individual is a woman, as guys aren’t harmed as much. However, this isn’t a 17 year old looking to score, but a 14 year old who may or may not be even in high school.”
See that is the problem with our culture. It is “okay” for a 14 year old boy to get laid and I am almost sure his father is happy that his son is a “man” now. It is a double standard. That same father would not be happy if this was his 14 year old daughter.
Why is it that a teen boy having sex makes him a “man” yet a girl is either a “rape victim” or a “whore”
Why don’t those same fathers say “Yea my daughter’s now a woman” because she just got laid? It is the same sex act that just made his son a “man” after all.
That aside. There is a double standard, and that's how it should be. It's a combination of two things.
1. Men are bigger, stronger, and more likely to be predators. It's a man's job to protect women. That's how I was raised. That's how my dad, grandfather, etc were raised. Would I have needed protection from a 34 year old women when I was 16? Unless she was an authority figure, or had me at gun point, no. I'm bigger and stronger. I may need protection from a certain part of my anatomy at that age, but that's true no matter how old she is.
2. Men don't get pregnant. Now I was also raised that if I got a girl pregnant, that I would be a dad and not a sperm donor. That goes at 15 or even today at 33. If my girlfriend was pregnant, I'm buying a ring. I probably should soon anyway once my businesses stabilize, but that's another discussion.
Now if I had a 14 year old daughter and some 34 year old guy had his way, click click boom. Goes back to the men are bigger and stronger thing.
If I was in the 14 year old boy's shoes, I don't know how'd I react. I was mentally a later bloomer (hence as I said - guilty). At 16, big smile and keep my mouth shut because my mom would send someone to jail if word got back. Personally, I wouldn't be complaining.
