I hadn’t thought about that. Let me take a good look next time I’m in that area. I miss so much when I drive because I am looking out for foolish drivers. I love it when in rare occasions I am a passenger. I see so many things, which I have missed.
In my geology class, we had a field trip every Thursday afternoon. We covered everything pertaining to Panama what was known then. Where I saw those fossil shell fish were on the side of the old French canal dig (Atlantic Side). We were walking parallel the canal which was actually a cliff cut into a hill. We walked along on these humongous, very strong reeds of grass. At one point I looked down between my feet past the grass and there was nothing but air between us and the bottom.
I am still having a good laugh about it today. And no, I was not afraid. It just took me by surprise.
It is worth looking at when you go by there. It has been growing further and further out for a couple of years now. Once the 2nd wave started a bit further out than the first, I realized it had to be the plate panama is one was rising, since sea levels aren’t changing enough to do that.
You can pretty much not see anything but the gutted and renovated modern church tower now from corredor. same stuff on the other side of the bridge in costa del este to the ~!south.
