Coop was always Coop. You can say it's easy always playing yourself, but it's not so. John Wayne falls into this category too.

I never got the “Gary Cooper” appeal. A wooden cigar store India emoted as much as he did.

Like you, I like his movies, but if that guy was a great actor, I missed my calling.
