Because people name their children after people they look up to and have respect for or simply admire. They really aren’t concerned about how it’ll affect their child for the rest of their life.

What if you came across a boy with the name

Harry B. Smith
or
Seymour B. Jones?

What do you think their middle names might be? How much of a taunting might they get? Doesn’t matter to the parents! Nope! Once they get it in their head to name their child with a specific name nothing will stop them.
