Thanks for that link. The estimate of 500-1500 years makes sense if we assume 500 years.

Thank you, your link is a vast interest to me. I spend most of my time in the woods of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and New York. You would not believe the things we find. There are times when I think I’ll hire a archeologist, but then I think of the government regulations and don’t. Can you imagine how we would get tied up if what we found was really a 2,500 year old Roman sword?
