It was a low budget show that reused a lot of effects and props (even music) which worked in it’s favor making it more surreal.

IIRC, Shatner stated in the SciFi Channel ST:TOS redo some years back, that they used his own kitchen stools for the Enterprise bridge stations.

LOL! I remember reading that the stagehands from STOS would raid the garbage of the other shows for things that could be used on their set.

IMHO, there is no such thing as 'bad' Trek....some of them are just better than others.

Star Wars, on the other hand, was unwatchable after the first trilogy.
