These people have to consider themselves superior one way or another and so they create situations to imagine themselves as superior. I think this lies behind true racism as well.

My standard response to one such as this goes along *these* lines:
You are not only confused about *where* you are, you are evidently confused about *when* you are. Hint, this is the United States of America, the 21st century. It most emphatically is *not* Europe, the 12th century. You are *not* Milord/Milady, and I am *not* a serf, and for d-d sure not *your* serf. You may think you're all that, and a bag of chips besides, but I am singularly unimpressed with you, and the size of your ego.
