No such thing as an “Ex-Marine”. With the exceptions of Scott Ritter, Jack Murtha and James Carville, that is.

And the protester’s parents said...”Why didn’t we think of that?”

“All I was doing was trying to stop this historic occasion from being disrupt-ed. There is a time and place to exercise your First Amendment rights,’’

Agree, sort of.

In this case, Hiltunen's actions were justified because the OWS douchebag was disrupting a public event, thus falling into the 'shouting fire in a crowded theater' category. But it was certainly not Hiltunen's (or anyone else's) decision to determine a proper 'time and place to exercise your First Amendment rights'. That's a slippery slope that can only lead to tyranny, as it's not the government's or anyone else's place to determine what speech is acceptable and what isn't.

This is the central problem with the media's framing any opposition to the OWS idiots as a violation of the 1st Amendment. Opposition to OWS has nothing to do with suppressing free speech and everything to do with protecting property rights and preserving public order.

This could be a problem.

Apparantly this Marine didn’t know that any left-winger can decide to disrupt anything he or she wants to disrupt, at any time, and that’s it. There’s nothing that can be done about it.

Throw them out, and your violating their civil rights, their “right to protest.”

They can shut down any ceremony, any speech, any class, any session of a legislative body, any public office, any private office, place of business, road, highway, parking lot, you name it. Any time they want, and you’d better not interfere.

At least, that’s how I understand the current situation.

The pictures are a HOOT! LOL!!

The dumb hippie bastard looks so surprised while he's being dragged out by a fit, crewcut jarhead former (if there is such a thing) Marine and patriotic American dude! {^) It's like a cartoon, the look on his face! *melting into giggles*
