I’m griping about the attacks on the personal attacks on an individual before any evaluation has been made of the contents of his comments.

Like the attacks on Cain?

Right, you are so open minded which is why all your posts are attacking those defending Cain while utterly refusing to address the facts present contrary to your opinions

SO what. Dr. OZ is making a fortune on this homeopathic style of medicine.

If his other practice is so dishonorable, why isn’t it illegal?

But by the standards of the Cainiacs, the Study at M D Anderson in Houston on weight loss is a fraud.

They are getting ready to go into human trials of a medicine that get rid of fat.

How DARE they:
Targeted drug melts fat, weight and waistlines in obese monkeys
By Scott Merville on November 9, 2011 2:35 PM | Comments (0) | Trackbacks (0)
An experimental drug that directly reduces fat by destroying the blood vessels that support it caused an 11 percent weight loss in obese rhesus monkeys in a month’s time.

“Development of this compound for human use would provide a non-surgical way to actually reduce accumulated white fat, in contrast to current weight-loss drugs that attempt to control appetite or prevent absorption of dietary fat,” says Renata Pasqualini, Ph.D., professor in MD Anderson’s David H. Koch Center for Applied Research of Genitourinary Cancers.

“We’re greatly encouraged to see substantial weight loss in a primate model of obesity that closely matches the human condition,” Pasqualini says.

Treated monkeys had corresponding reductions in waist circumference and body mass index. Untreated control monkeys were largely unchanged during the study.

Imaging studies showed treated monkeys lost 38 % of their body fat, including 27 % of their abdominal fat, indicating that weight loss was caused by fat reduction and not the loss of other types of tissue.

How’s that his fault and why are we attacking him?

How is that his fault? He is CHOOSING to keep this story alive. This story was going nowhere. Sharon received her 15 minutes of fame. Gloria, desiring to keep the heat on Cain, digs up Zuckerman. He could have said "no comment", but I am guessing that was not an option.

On the other hand, if this dredged up hit piece was against Perry, I would be defending Perry just as hard.

"...Like the attacks on Cain?..."

EXACTLY like the attacks on Cain!

Why is it that a private individual (NOT in politics) should be attacked by supporters of an individual (who has chosen to MAKE himself a public figure) in a way that those supporters deride in others?

I mean, if Cain's word is good on its face...why should some unknown American's word not be treated the same way? And if that unknown American's word isn't good enough, why should Cain's be?

If we hate the way that Cain is treated, why is it okay to do the same thing to other people? Just because they're presenting something that's not Cain-positive?

That's exactly my point!

Thanks, fellow FReeper, for helping me make my point better!

He has a pattern. That’s wehy women are running the other way.

I doubt there are many women left that haven’t run into boorish men like this at sometime in their life. That is why he will LOSE. It’s just a matter of getting to the primaries for you all to see the light.
You can dismiss women all you want. But, don’t underestimate the hand that rocks the cradle.

I know, right? It’s disgraceful, really. Can you imagine what it would be like if all these things, including the Dan Rather fraud, happened during the days before online connectivity and community? It’s bad enough now, but at least the truth has a fighting chance in this one venue. Thanks again.

Why are we trying to destroy someone before he even finishes speaking and before we even evaluate what he has to say.

Why are you rushing to defend a fraudulent accuser? An accuser with a documented Court record history of fraud?

Have you no shame?

No sense of decency?

Have you fallen so far you would rather cling to a transparent smear attack in the vain notion it helps your candidate of choice rather then defend truth?

Cain was accused. He refuted. NOW more accusations, with not a single shred of proof, are being trotted out.

A rational ADULT would say "hmm, before we hear any more accusations, I think I need to see some proof'

However YOU would rather ignore the proof and cling to the accusation so you attack those documenting the questions about the accuser's veracity and motivations. Shameful and childish are the nicest things that can be said about your conduct.

>>You can dismiss women all you want.

More like, some of us are dismissing liars.

There are two women that have accused Cain - one who is a serial complainer who revealed nothing about her complaint and one who is a serial bankrupt and litigator who provided an unwitnessed story.

The problem is that Republicans are considered guilty until proven innocent, and sadly enough, even by some of their own party.

"...Right, you are so open minded which is why all your posts are attacking those defending Cain while utterly refusing to address the facts present contrary to your opinions..."

MN...do you realize how silly this looks, once someone has taken the time to read all of your posts?

If there is anyone on this forum that is less open-minded than you, I'll be "stuned".

You debate like a child. You cut-and-paste answers, you attack those who disagree with you and make false accusations.

I defy you to make a case that I "attack" those who are Cain supporters. I may disagree. I may question. But I work extremely hard NOT to attack or be (too) disagreeable.

You don't seem to be suffering under those same constraints.

I'm gonna make an assumption: You are a conservative. You are person trying to make a difference.

Why do you feel that we are such antagonists? I ask that everyone be treated equally. If the "facts" you present are simply Mr. Cain's statements, why are other people's statements also considered "facts" by you?

Look...we both want Obama out of here. But there are a lot of people who want that that may have different views on how/who is best to get that done?

Why do you have to go "nuclear" on anyone who has a different point of view?

I don't know. I guess it's like a cat playing with a mouse; keeping it alive just to play with it.

Thanks for your steadfastness...
