Contrary to claims made on HillBuzz and the twitterverse, Free Republic is NOT reporting Larry Sinclair is dead. An "article" written at a blog website (that has 3 articles in its entire history) was linked to on Free Republic. Thats it. It is not written by Free Republic and is not a claim made by Free Republic.

Why this post was allowed to stand when proven false is beyond me.

I thought if you posted something (other than a vanity or prayer request) then a link of sorts had to be provided? Am I wrong? If not, then any troll could come on, post something absolutely ridiculous in the attempt to make FR look sensational/wrong etc... Personally, I think the original post (because it is now proven as wrong) should be pulled.

ONe poster linking to a blog is not “Free Republic reporting” IMHO. I do hope the mods yank that sucker unless someone comes up with confirmation.

If this were a liberal site and Obama were conservative the charges by Sinclair would be considered true by virtue of their seriousness.
Unprovable - yes. Obscene - yes. Because this is a conservative site and Obama is a liberal - whatever - we can only reel in disgust.
