Usually... if you see a woman trying to walk in those high-risers... it is almost comical. They sort of push their foot forward and their knees are farther apart. They almost wobble. Let’s just say there isn’t a lot of GRACE when they walk.

They’re STUPID; but I’ll admit - it’s their business. I’ll wear flatter shoes, thanks; but won’t try to boss someone else about what they wear. I can’t walk in them and risk injury - so do they.

It IS amusing, though, to enter a room; then to watch a thirty-something woman in 5” heeled boots enter the room, to watch hubby perk up, suck in his gut, and keep eyeing the “5 foot 9 inch” woman in the boots out the corner of his eye. (In real life, she’s 5’4” like me. I tell him, “hop to it!” - “you’ll have buyer’s remorse when you get her to the hotel and she’s not quite as “tall” as you thought”.)

Apparently, in order to accommodate the higher heel, they have to add that extra thickness under the toe, which looks just plain clownish. There is such a thing as too much.
