The subject was Atlas Shrugged specifically, not Rand generally. The quotes I posted would imply opposition to serving in war out of self-sacrifice - but she may have interpreted at least some serving as driven by other motivations. I'd certainly be interested to read her full thoughts on the matter.

A book is not capable of being for or against something. A few quotes in isolation can prove anything about anything. Rand did not have as her core belief this objection to self sacrifice, which is what this press release implies.

This press release is against every foundation of conservative thought as far back as you care to go.
