I had an interaction with McQueary at a football clinic some years back...2005 I think.
I was an assistant football coach at a high profile, large and perennial state contender in the largest, 4A, division in Maryland.
PSU had just landed our big recruit who was number one in the nation ranked by Rivals. I ended up talking to McQueary because he recognized my hat and team logo and we talked about the defense of certain passing attacks and the big recruit, who was a WR...and he the WR coach.
We talked for about 3 minutes or so, then he referred to me as our Heard Coach. I clarified I was not the head coach and he cut the conversation off abruptly, rudely, and quickly.
My guess is that when he called his daddy instead of stopping the incident, he was thinking about his football coaching career.
I’d like to punch him right in his teeth right now...it pains me to know scum like this have great coaching jobs.
Are you saying he didn't get the WR coaching job on merit but possibly staying quiet might have influenced Joe to hire him?
