I agree.

They were high level how to’s with thin characters and even thinner plots.

They are both “fun” but like Michael Savage’s novel they are a bit ham handed.

Give them three or four stars for content, one star for story.

I wrote a long review, but didn't post it. Didn't see the reason, in the end. There are already 100s of reviews up for Survivors on Amazon. Rawles is not much of a writer, but he is one heck of a promoter, I'll give him that. He has companies supply him with free prizes, which he gives out as rewards in his ongoing survival essay contests. So both the content of his website and his prizes are all given to him. Sweet. But a genius for blog promotion does not a novelist make.
