Result of leading with your helmet.
I hope he gets better and back on the field.
The safest youth sports are still shooting and archery.
Yeah, those chess pieces are ever so deadly.
lol Chess is a game, not a sport! I know cuz my school would not let the cheerleaders cheer the chess club matches.

It’s unfortunate when a player comes up on the wrong side of risk but the benefits of participating in organized football far outweigh the risks.
kids learn a lot through sports but its not an either/or question. they can do both
I grew up playing football. It’s a great sport that is really team oriented.
The injury is a shame. Wish it didn’t happen, but it really is no different than the kid climbing a tree and falling off. It’s an accident. A horrible horrible one, but an accident.
My Aunt and Uncle never let their kids play football (because of the injury fear) until this past year when their youngest son asked if he could play. They gave in and they, and their son, are having a blast (it just ended this past Sunday).

So sad...makes my heart too heavy to post anything...coherent.
Coaches should be teaching NOT TO lead with your helmet
Winning is NOT everything in children’s sports
I’ll be praying for Donovan. Based on his statement to his Mom, sounds like that young man has some character.

I hope the young man makes a full recovery. I was wondering why his last name is different than his mothers.
Why is this news? Injuries happen every day.
