I know that is probably the best advice, but believe me, knowing something and doing it are two different things. Not sure this can be done. Something about teaching old dogs new tricks and things like that.

throw away everything you got- or give it to charity food bank
then go buy RICE (there are lots of nice different kinds) and honey instead of sugar, and dried mushrooms and a freezer to keep fresh meats
Every meal can be meat and rice and you will lose weight and feel a million times better
You can have eggs for breakfast with bacon every morning, forget about tracking cholesteral if you eat the way i described above.
its hard to live without bread and pasta- but eggplant paremesan with risoto will make you forget all about spaghetti
