“Whoa! Hold on there hoss. I stated a simple fact not all strippers are prostitutes. From that, you seem to feel entitled to go off on me making all sorts of insinuations. Take a deep breath. Take a few.”
Phew...okay thanks, I feel better! Now, understand this...selling ones body can involve sex or simply sexual temptation. Stripping is not an art form...it is decadence and unhealthy for these young women who participate in it. Glorifying stripping in any sense is not a very compassionate thing to do. Now, take a deep breath yourself...open your heart up and contemplate...

This side discussion got started when Carl from Marietta mentioned Herpes, in connection with watching strippers. I just pointed out that not all strippers are prostitutes (something others also mentioned). I might have added that you don't generally get an STD from just looking.
I'm not an expert on the subject; but it seems to me that there's some sort of sliding scale, between "art" dancing and flat-out pornographic stripping. Some artistic dancers perform nude. Some strippers (I imagine) are better dancers than others. Some strippers might even be like Demi Moore in Striptease -- just a single mom, working a job to support her kid. (Would Hollywood lie to us?) Of course Demi got hundreds of times more for her performance as a stripper, than any actual stripper makes.
