Most store in my area ask if you have change . They are happy to get the coins ,most people its less trouble pulling dollar bills out than digging for change.

I usually have a couple dollars in change in my pocket. Glad to get rid of the extra weight ;)

Same here! I have done what she did only not bought $30. worth of stuff. Usually a $1. or $2. dollar item that I paid all in the pennies I saved up. Most stores love them because they need the extra pennies for change.

Either way it is legal tender and the bank can always take it.

I still ask for quarters from stores and they look at me like an alien. You need quarters for the laundry and the stores ARE the ones trying to protect their quarters..I’m for the lady.

I don’t get...someone is PAYING for groceries and NOT BEGGING for money. Good grief this country.
