A lot of people on Twitter are saying I totally agree with the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) demands and goals. The only problem is that I have no idea what their demands and goals are. And neither does anyone else.Dear Dave: You are just not doing your research and in this case you are just dead wrong. The demands and goals of the OWS movement are well known to some if not most of us and are easily found with just a little searching. You need to do your homework before you start spouting such nonsense.
Dave does not say that "demands and goals" do not officially exist. Rather, Dave makes the point that if you surveyed the general OWS protester, they do not understand their own demands and goals. Dave correctly makes the point that himself (and any observer) of OWS protesters has to question their demands and goals, since they are not known to the protesters themselves.
I think he's wrong about that.
Are we supposed to depend on the almost childish views of the participants or should we be paying more attention to the organizers of this potentially Marxist revolution? I vote for the latter.
These people hold their "General Assembly" meetings where any of the OWS participants can attend. Are we to assume that "goals and demands" are never discussed at these meetings? I don't think so.
The fact that these dumbos can't express themselves well enough to convey the goals and demands doesn't mean that they don't know what they are. For example, I saw a poll that showed that 40% of the OWS crowd were union members. Does Dave really think they have no idea why they're there?
