You know, if sugar free, then I think the answer to that would be yes!

Many (includes me) can knock back their blood sugar readings 40 to 100 points with a handful of peacans, and even less than that if walnuts are used, and a chunk of a hickory nut ~ which is so powerful it will tan you tongue.
This is not consistent though ~ maybe one day out of 3 to 5 depending on the season.
Glad official science has discovered the phenomenon.

Ive never actually known anyone who could eat an unpeeled walnut. Have you?
I have met a few who are rather squirly.

I’ve planted about a dozen pecan trees on our Ozarks property but the poor soil has them very slow growing. I also planted hickory nut trees and some filberts. I will trim these in December for the first time.

I eat mixed nuts on a regular basis. Tastes great, loaded with good stuff and naturally low in carbs.

Thanks decimon and neverdem.
It took only one ounce of mixed nuts (raw unpeeled walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts) a day to produce the good effects.
See, now that's my problem. I like Blue Diamond almonds; I'll eat raw almonds, but the only other one I've found that I prefer raw is cashews.

I lost about 17 lbs in 3 months once....eating a lot of RAW cashews....they are good, especially when dairy, flour, sugar, coffee, vinegar are banned from your diet.
