These realignments are a mess. I like it better when conferences were geographically aligned. The last time I checked Boise is not in the East, or am I missing something.

All the conferences are trying to increase in size so as to have conference championship games. The SEC, ACC, Big 10 (with 12 teams), Big 12 (with 10 teams), PAC-12 (or is it 14, I lost count) now have championship games. Now the ACC wants to go to 16 teams, madness. What's happening here? No good is gonna come out of this.

It's like the government, more cash, more lunacy.

I would hope the big east would insist on Boise removing that ridiculous blue rug from their stadium....

I would think it would be hard for Boise St. to maintain top 25 form for too many years.

I agree. Missouri is planning to move from the Big 12, where it is competitive (in football) to the SEC, where it will be a doormat. Colorado is the new whipping boy for the PAC 12.

Yeah. There is not one person or team to blame. Everyone is to blame. My area bracing to take a hit when Missouri runs off to the SEC. The Big 12 was supposed to implode. But the Pac-10 realized adding some of the best teams in the conference was not good for some of the teams there so they had a revolt and chose not the accept. That lead to saving the conference. But, Missouri found a cushy deal with SEC while the conference was to implode. Long story they are leaving.

So now the big 12 which at one time was looking to have some teams join the Big east is now trying to remain alive by piking off Big east schools. West Virginia just filed a lawsuit to leave the Big East. As you probably know.

Well now the Kansas City metro is bracing for changes. The Kansas side is thinking about picking off the basketball tournament. See officials unsure of keeping the tourney in KC if the Missouri team leaves.

Missouri started all this in a way because they wanted to leave in 09. Tried joining the Big Ten. That began two years of problems over revenue sharing and team threatening to leave.

The Big 10 took a long time to go to 12. I think they did fine. Penn State was a indy at the time, and Nebraska left a Big 12 conference where there was a lot of dissension because of Texas wanting a special deal for its own t.v. network.
