Teaching religion in public schools is giving the government a power not provided under our Constitution.

Seems that you are a nanny stater in that you want the government to provide religious instruction.

I am against public education and for vouchers/ private school.

Vaccinations should be mandatory for attendance in public schools, as well as the policy for any private school I would send a child to.

But good luck going with the Jenny McCarthy crowd of anti science idiots! When preventable diseases like polio start to make a comeback and strikes the children of such idiots it will not be unexpected.

TEACHING IS NOT a power given to government under our Constitution. 1st Amendment says that the FEDERAL Government (Congress shall...) cannot make laws regarding the expression of Religion, not that states cities, whatever cannot. Some state have state religions (IIRC Mass being one of them).
