Well, they tried last year on the back of the Eagles, and an Eagle rep admitted they were filling the venues until the Dixie Chicks came onboard. Now, they are trying to come out by doing a benefit. Personally, I feel Maines' disingenuous pandering and the bitch slap the Dixie Chicks gave the Free Republic and C&W deserves remembrance and response. Her response to the criticism of her pandering comment was to write a song saying she wasn't Ready to Make Nice, and rode to Platinum on the album with liberal latecomers who didn't understand why she was dismissed by millions. Time to do what she disingenuously accused the Free Republic of after her sales slumped; that is, to let her know in as many ways as possible that we aren't ready either. Also, to tell those entertainers (and their sponsors) who are inviting her back that they will lose fans over their support of her.
