“Have any of you globe-trotting FReepers ever visited Père Lachaise?”

I do visit Paris, as my brother lives there, but have not been to any Paris cemetery.
It does not look as creepy as cemeteries in the Philippines.
The very large cemetery, probably 300 years old, in my town has turned up graves, as well as above ground crypts, or concrete vaults that are bashed open. Many of them are infant size.
I presume that lack of funding is a big problem.
It is a bit difficult to get money from the dead.
You might want to visit Pere Lachaise. They say it is well worth the time.
It has some spectacular sculpture and art.
In Cairo people live in the big cemetery. It’s called City of the Dead. People have broken into the crypts and live there.
My brother’s in-law’s Mom is from Bulacan and Nov 1 in the Philippines is something to behold. Every Filipino drives back to their respective provinces and it really is a celebration.
