If it can generate heat, it can generate electricity. A Stirling engine doesn't require much temperature differential.
The question is whether it can generate enough heat to overcome the various inefficiencies while converting to electricity, and produce a net output that costs less per kilowatt hour than existing technologies.
But for some reason Rossi is willing to utilize huge systems to carry away heat rather than build a steam generator that would let him export that heat as electricity. He should be able to buy something close to what he needs and modify it for his purpose. But he hasn't.
But I'm patient. I want him to succeed. I await the day that Rossi lights up Times Square with his gizmo - but it may be a long wait.
But there is something about the way this technology is being "sold" that just doesn't feel right.
