The con man in that article left a half-mile spool of coaxial cable laying around when he was conning Intel and Blockbuster that he had a revolutionary new way of transmitting high-quality video over normal phone lines.
It's a very interesting story, and it shows how easy it is for a con man to fool lots of people for a long time.
