The World Series ended last night when Freese hit that double in the bottom of the ninth inning while Cruz was practicing his ballet leaps out in right field. Cruz's mis-play will go down in baseball history along with Bill Buckner's error in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series.
The joke about Buckner goes:
"Buckner tried to commit suicide after the Red Sox lost the 1986 World Series, but the bullet went between his legs ..."

Cruz's mis-play will go down in baseball history along with Bill Buckner's error in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series.I was at game 5 of the ALCS in Anaheim(one of the best games ever)...the Red Sox "used up all their wishes" just to get to the WS that year.
And let's face it...Buckner's fate ended up a lot better than Donnie Moore's.

The joke is that Buckner tried to commit suicide by jumping in front of a bus, but the bus went through his legs.
Buckner actually thought that Sox fans would forgive and forget. A lot he knew about Boston, eh?
