Bobby Montoya is a 7-year-old boy from Denver. Unlike a lot of young boys, Bobby has no desire to join the Boy Scouts. Instead, he wants to be a Girl Scout.
We first saw Montoya's story over at 9news.com. The NBC affiliate reports that when the boy's mother, Felisha Archuleta, tried to sign her son up for Girl Scouts, a troop leader told her no.

Sorry, it’s just I’ve had to deal with the harridans. Our scoutmaster resigned and the whole group left with him, because they would not let him continue on as a scoutmaster (as he had been for 20 years), and stay boys-only.
We all went with him, and continued to do the activities unofficially.
I went back 10 years later and they had one troop of 3 people. 1 troop, where they had hundred of kids previously.
“Why do I have this feeling that it isnt the little boy who wants it, its his parents pushing for this. At age 7 they dont know what they want unless its the latest new toy.”
