Hope this doesn’t take the path of Wilma NN. S. Florida can’t take more than 5 inches of rain before everyone starts suing anything not nailed down!

We could use the rain though.

Oh poo! What were my fingers doing. A leak in OUR roof! Maybe you have a leak too. Better check! I hate FL. Never had a leaky roof in West TX, and if you did it hardly mattered.

What’s the chance of it moving north and giving some much needed rain to Texas?

Zippo, unfortunately.

Right now the forecast models are fairly well converged on a duck-hook to the NE and a South Florida peninsula crossing. It's a move reminiscent of my golf outings... using a driver off the tee.

(Actually, for the RH golfer, that’s the ‘banana slice’).

Steel what? I think this is the same general area that leaked after Wilma. Got it repaired then. Not that I think it’s a problem with that repair, I think roof leaks just happen, but sheesh, why couldn’t it happen 2 months from now, or 6 months ago? I don’t think I like these stupid tile roofs either.

I have my tickets for the boat show in Lauderdale on Friday. The boats are generally rafted up tight, without much room for wind shifts. This will be a “Major Goat Rodeo” for sure. I will spend Friday getting my vessel prepared.

I replaced my roof ~six years ago with white reflective metal. It makes a HUGE difference in electric bill during the hot summer months. Metal roof is the best material for storms. Looks great too. Should last about 40 years.

Yes, I’m sure my HOA would come after me with a pitchfork for that! :) On the bright side, in 20 years or 30 years, or at some point we can retire and move back to the southwest where there aren’t HOAs and hurricanes and things like that. Of course we might have to live in a refrigerator box under an overpass, but maybe we can get a nice metal roof for it! :)

We said 20 inches on USONE Thursday night but I’ll take your word for it.We really don’t need any more. Spaghettis don’t look too good for us.
