Well, I have had cats and dogs (some at the same time). I can tell you that a cat won’t attack a dog. It would have to be pretty sick. I can also tell you that a dog is no match for an adult cat if it hasn’t been DE-clawed.

A coyote will even eat the meow put of a cat.

My Cat must have missed that memo. Though he doesn't cause any damage, he will often pounce on our dog just to annoy him, or sneak up on him and give him a good swat with the paw.

We had a huge Siamese cat that killed a German Shepheard. My folks said the cat went to live on a ranch.

Not true of every cat. My parents had a big bruiser of a tom cat. Very friendly to people, but it would go nuts if it saw a dog or another tom cat it its yard - and its yard was quite a bit larger than what the county surveyor said my parent's yard was.
