"The Big Broadcast is a Sunday night tradition for families throughout the WAMU listening area. Each week, Big Broadcast host Ed Walker offers listeners priceless recordings of popular radio programs from the '30s, '40s and '50s. Priceless, especially, for a man whose first sentence as a child was, 'Turn the radio on.' "

I met Ed once. Nice man.
He is blind, and that gives rise to a funny story. (Ed confirmed to me that this did happen.) When he was on WRC in Washington, they were promoting a sponsor, Giant supermarkets, one day and he got his copy in Braille, but there was a slight problem.
Ed read what his fingers told him: “Take advantage of this special at the Giant at fill in location.”
