is facebook for women and effeminate men?
Posted on 10/21/2011 10:07:09 PM PDT by mamelukesabre
When I first got pushed into signing up for facebook 3 years ago, I thought it would be a waste of my time. after a month or two, I decided it was kinda fun. Then I started hearing bad things and started worrying about security and my use of it tapered off. Now, 3 years later, I don't look at my facebook much but when I do, I notice two things:
its almost purely women that put things on facebook and make comments on stuff.
its purely women that are sending me friend requests and I have no idea who they are.
Is facebook dying off, drying up, wasting away? Is it turning into a ladies book club or ladies cribbage club? If so, how long before the same thing happens to FR?

Sign up for Facebook to connect with Y do gals commit suicide when they have split ends.. lol!!
Trichoptilosis. You may have it. I read somewhere if you sit alone with your dog on a Friday night, and face east, soaking your head in a bowl of cooked okra, it’ll go away.
The dog. Not the split ends.

You live in Grants Pass, don’t you?
Weren’t you looking for work, once? Or am I thinking of someone else?
I hope you found work...if you’re whom I was recalling.

I use Facebook only for people to contact me.
Like my friend in Afghanistan.
I have no other use for it.
Email is all a sane person needs.

Regarding your tagline -
"(What color nail polish should I use for my German Shepherd?) "
I think silver.
Silver. Shiny, shiny silver like the shiny silver steel of a Marine's sword. (It doesn't matter that he's never actually ~earned~ a Marine's sword.)
Then your big macho German Shepherd could forget about his obvious shortcomings (small feet, slender legs and all) and pretend to be a tough guy while pontificating on the internet and dumping his girlfriend.
You gotta do what you can for the poor guy. This is just the first of many lonely weekend nights.
(Can't tell the dumpers from the dumpees without a program!)

I’m far from a FB fanatic, but I have noted one really good use for it.
Recently my high school class had its 45th reunion.
FB proved a great tool in tracking down class members, albeit often through the accounts of their children and grandchildren

Let's compare and contrast...that looks as if it could be a New York Style slice.
As you can see, the constant is being *alone on Friday night.* Always.
