Obama and his Chicago mobsters have been trying very hard to take business away from NYC and move it to Chicago. They were all set to go with a Chicago board that was going to trade energy cap and trade futures—until the global warming scam hit the fan and it evaporated.

Earlier, of course, he failed to get the Chicago Olympics.

I think those two failures, and others we don’t know about, were what forced Mayor Daley out of office.

I think Daly was told to vacate the position for Rahm or suffer the consequences. Just another mob deal, nothing personal.

That could very well be. My thoughts were he was asked to by the powers that be not seek re election because the dancer wanted the job. He said he was not seeking re election to be w/his family - now he’s very busy at a law firm. Thanks for the info about the Chicago board and their intentions.

Their attempt at groveling for the Olympics with their mob mentality were an embarrassment. They whined and dined going over and ate crow on the return trip.

The Olympics was Daley’s big payday. If Chicago would have gotten the Olympics he would have left the Mayor’s office and become the Olympic Committee Chairman ... that is the guy who hands out all the contracts. He would have cashed in big there!

The city is broke. There is no money left. Daley got $1.8B for the parking meters, and it was supposed to last 20 years ... it lasted 18 months. There is no more money to throw at Tadin. Time to go sit on the beach of the Michigan Dunes and enjoy.

I thought I read that the Chicago Exchange was seriously looking to move it’s operation over the increase in Illinois and Chicago Taxes.
