LOL, you know the myth buster made the device a couple year back, the old James bond plate had three different tags. The old boy from VA, needs to work on his device, sounds like he had a spring loaded tag than flipped down and back up. One that rotated would work.

you have to put it on a switch so you can rotate the different plates around at your liking. It is actually quite simple.
