Schnauzers need to be trimmed regularly and that dog is trimmed. Where in the hell does one find a schnauzer groomer in Nowhere, Alaska? I smell a fraud here...

Does that mean she didn't accept the annual oil profit check ($1,174) that each resident of Alaska gets?

they made a self-rightous movie based on that book and some people reportedly make pilgrimages to visit his death site.

I went to Fort Hunt down in Alexandria.

I went to West Springfield. We used to play you guys. Annandale, too. :-)

Pilgrimages? For what? To celebrate suicide-by-ignorance, or perhaps suicide-by-stupidity?

This is awesome. It could start a trend. Occupy the swamp, occupy the glacier, occupy the coral reef.

Occupy the sewage treatment plant, occupy the bughouse, occupy prison.

Cool. I graduated in 1975; Someone burned the offices down shortly thereafter and the school never reopened, I heard.

Those were the days. We used to go to the Cap Center for comcerts, Shady Grove. DAR Constitution Hall, etc.

And Wolftrap, Ford's Theater, the Kennedy Center and Lisner Auditorium.

And when we were home from college on breaks and were of age, we used to go dancing at the Bayou in Georgetown. Those certainly were the days.

Wow....I didn't know Ft. Hunt had burned down. I remember going there for away games.

Forgot about Wolf Trap Farm Park- went to something there...

Somebody had a rotating stage- was that Shady Grove? Saw George Carlin there and it was hilarious as he kept trying to face the audience and his mike cord kept tangling.

Ah the days of my liberal youth. What an idiot I was.

Yeah like a year after I graduated someone torched the admin offices at Ft Hunt and it was done. Hayfield High, Woodson and TC Williams were in our league as I recall.

Springfield and Annandale were out of the Gunston District, IIRC.

Cheers to a simpler time!
