Since Sarah Palin announced that she was not going to run for president, there has been a certain degree of bitterness on the part of some FReepers. She was bilking us, some said, just trying to hawk her books. She has betrayed us, said others, she never wanted to run anyway. I admit that at first I was one of them.
However, take a look at the attention Herman Cain suddenly been getting. These articles resulted from a quick google search and go back six days...

...None of it is complementary. Meanwhile Lawrence O’Donnell over at MSNBC lectures Cain on the 'black experience' and Al Sharpton questions whether Cain is "authentically black."
Sarah Palin was taking the flak for Cain, I believe. She knew that as soon as she was no longer a consideration, the media's guns would turn on the next true conservative; Cain. Palin stayed to cover Cain, giving him as long as possible to stay out of the harsh, biased media spotlight.
She sacrificed herself to protect the best conservative in the race. To give us a chance to elect Herman Cain rather than Mitt ObomneyCare or La-raza Rick.
Lets honor her sacrifice. Lets raise Cain!

I think this country was DELIVERED from people who would have silenced ANY opposition to a President Palin just as they effectively silenced any differing opinion on this site.
And are people now saying NO ONE sent money to Palin? People HERE said they had, and still are, contributing. So there is money for a campaign that didn’t happen. Where is it going? If you want to call it a ‘religious donation’, be open about it.

Palin is a Public Figure and, as such, has opened herself to Public Comment. There is no law that says it all HAS to be worshipful or even positive.

IF this keeps up, CONSERVATIVES( to the right of Rush) like me will stop coming here. Jim Rob has already commented that the Freepathon is going much slower than usual. I think the infighting is having an effect. People don’t feel welcome to disagree without fearing the judgement of people like you!

Fast forward to 2011 and Rove speculating on the now self-debunked Palin for 2012 campaign (as well as negative opinion on COD) and Luke Skywalker has morphed into Darth-vader.

I pray to God Palin DOES endorse Cain, but Palin has endorsed some half dozen RINOS over the past couple of years, so I look at her with a jaundiced eye. Even Jim Rob once posted in frustration “if Palin keeps endorsing RINOS, I’m done with her”
There is always a silver lining to most things.
Maybe with Herman Cain, we will be spared the lipstick, high heel shoes, guns and leather, or Reagan from Heaven passing the torch photos. LOL
