BTW, when I said put the "whole" turnip in the microwave, I meant after you cut off the feeder-roots and the greens, and wipe off the dirt. The greens you can use in some other greens recipe. Keep in mind that although the turnip root is good and nutritious (Vitamin C, fiber, very little starch, lots of minerals) turnip greens have, like, 10x to 20x more nutrients than the root! O-Me-O-My!
